Qutub Minar Delhi

Qutub minar is counted in superb Indian monument, it is higher minar in india that was erected by the Qutb-u'd-Din Aibad who placed the foundation of this monument in AD 1199 and was completed by his successor. It has five storey that are surrounded by the balcony. The diameter of the kutub minar is 14.32m at base and 2.75m at the top with height of 72.5m. Many brackets was used to give the support to kutub minar and draped by the honeycomb design. Red stone and buff send stone was used to establish the kutub minar and no one knew the construction purpose but it is such building where the peoples of Muslim religion pray to their god and carvings and verses was inscribed around it from holy quaran. According the history of Qutub Minar, many inscriptions were written in Arabic and nagari characters. Many rulers played the very significant rule to repair the kutub mianar time to time. It was first time repaired by Firoz Shah Tughlaq (AD 1351-88) who was the ruler of delhi sultanate and second was Sikandar Lodi (AD 1489-1517 who fixed up it. Third was Major R. Smith in 1829. Qutub-ud-din Aybak built another spectacular building in his time such Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque that was the first mosque in india and erected by kutub din abk who removed the many hindu shrine and jain temple to built Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque. Famous alai darwaza was made at the entry of the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque that was erected by Ala-ud-din Khalji. Iron pillar is located beside the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque.
